In my previous posts, I gave tips for choosing a computer case and told you about the best Mini Tower Cases. In this post, I will tell you about the Best Mid Tower PC Cases under Rs 5000 currently available in India.

Choosing a mid tower case at this price can be a bit tiring because of the variety of cases available and almost similar looking features. But a nice case is a worthy investment that will definitely pay off; so it is important to know all the necessary features and details one should check out before making the purchase, like-

• Size- Because mid tower cases don't have any specific dimensions, it becomes very important that you first check out the size of the case. Some cases may look bigger than others but have smaller internal volume. Similarly, a well-designed case will have sufficient space while having a small looking exterior due to its clever design.
• Hardware Compatibility- Every case will not accommodate huge high-end components. So if you are thinking of going cheap with the case, then think again. Check the air cooler clearance measurement, water cooler radiator compatibility and graphic card length clearance. Size clearance issues are very rare these days but still you should reconfirm it when you are going for a case on a budget.
• A number of components- Some cases are going for the minimalist look these days. They are omitting drive bays to offer more sophisticated looks. So you should check it before making a purchase that the case you are going to buy has all the necessary bays for your drives. There should be at least two 3.5" HDD and one 5.25" DVD bay. Not everyone needs 10TB of storage but the movie buffs among us really need that space.
• Other features- So what else should be on your list? I would say functions. Go for functions rather than the looks in this price range. Functions like good cable management space, dust filters, and good thermal performance are more important than swanky and alien looking exteriors. Some cheap cases target customers by selling horrible interiors under the cover of cool exteriors. So don't be fooled by those stupid companies.

Deepcool Tesseract

Price- ~2.8K

Technical Specs

Deepcool is a relatively new name in the PC case industry but is offering aggressively priced products, and one of them is the Tesseract. Like the Elite 311, Tesseract is also an entry level mid-tower case. It is available in a couple of colors (blue or white) and offers good enough features for its price. It comes with 2 fans and also has room for longer graphic cards. There are a few design quirks but nothing major.

The Corsair Carbide Spec series include 3 gaming oriented cases- SPEC 01, SPEC 02 and SPEC 03. They are gaming cases for the guys and gals in a budget. Even though there are 3 cases, I will recommend only the SPEC 01 and 03. The SPEC 01 starts out cheaper and the SPEC 03 is the top of the line model. There is a very small price difference between the 02 and 03.

Both the 01 and 03 have industrial design and solid constructions. With the famous Corsair tool-less design, both the cases provide an easy PC building experience. They also have support for large graphic cards, cable management holes, dust filters and CPU cutouts.

with SPEC 01 in the spotlight there's very little to criticize. This case is astounding for the price and we can see it being very popular for system builders who are on extremely tight budgets."

Play3er(SPEC-03) - "

Overall the Corsair SPEC-03 ticks quite a lot of boxes and punches well above its weight in terms of performance but it is slightly let down by the lack of cable management space behind the motherboard especially when trying to hide PSU cables (modular would eliminate this problem). With that being said, there are much more pros's than cons which means I am happy to award the Corsair SPEC-03 our Silver award!"

Cooler Master N-series

Price-

N400- ~3.8K

N500- ~4.4K

Technical Specs- N400 N500

The CM N-series consists of affordable cases targeted towards the builders of a high-performance cabinet on a budget. You can call it the evolved Elite series. They have total 5 cases- N200, N300, N400, N500, and N600. We will not consider the N200 (mini tower) and N600 (over 5k) because they both don't meet our criteria of Mid Towers Cases under 5000 INR.

My recommendation will go for the N400 and N500. They are the mid-end models and provide the right balance of size and price. As both of these cases are budget cases, good cable management is not their best feature. You will have to be a little creative while managing cables, especially with the N400. If you want to use more than 4 HDDs then the N400 should be on your list because you can add up to 8 HDDs. Both the cases come with dust filters as well as with support for water cooling radiators.

Technical Specs- GX300 GX900

Antec GX lineup consists of gaming cases inspired by military equipment. There are many cases like GX300, GX500, GX700 and etc. They are mostly entry level mid-tower cases.

I will recommend two cases here- The GX300 and GX900. They are both from the same series, yet look different. The GX300 is the cheaper option and smaller too. Still, the case has all the bells and whistles to make a nice performance system. Features like removable HDD bays, cable management options, tool-less design are standard. So it should be definitely on your list. Next, we have the GX900 which closely follows the military styling. With military inspired paintwork and details, it will not suit everyone. But if you love themed cases, then this box should be a candidate for your next case. It is not much expensive, still, has all the facilities of any higher priced case. Also, it comes with 3 fans by default and a basic fan controller.

Corsair Carbide 100r

Price- ~3.7K

Technical Specs

The 100r is one of the cheapest Corsair cases in India. It is available in normal and silent versions. Both cases are similar except the silent edition has sound dampening panels. It is a simple case with a muted exterior and with a Corsair designed interior. It is a budget case so does not have the best support for water cooling by default but will easily support 120mm AIO units. Tool-less design, space for large components and cable management are standard features. If you want a Corsair case in a budget, then 100r is highly recommended.

Kendomen is a mid tower case by Deepcool. It is definitely a new entry to PC case industry but is targeting the customers with its aggressive pricing. The case has 5 pre-installed fans, a basic controller to control them, cable management support, dust filters and modular tool-free design. This case is recommended because of its pre-installed fans, aggressive pricing and if you can stand the flashy interior then go for it.
