In this post, I will tell you about the Best Mid Tower PC Cases - India, currently available.

After recommending the best budget mid tower cases in India, it's now time for the Part 2 of the Best Mid Tower PC cases in India. You can read the Part 1 here. This post will be for those guys who are looking for a bit more from their chassis and so will only feature cases costing over Rs 5000. These cases are primarily targeted towards the enthusiast and gaming class but anyone having a powerful workstation can also buy these cases.

The cases featured here are over Rs 5000 and they can cost up to Rs 13000. The major problem with this price range is the number of choices. There are more than a couple of dozen cases. After careful research I noticed, you will notice it too, that majority of the cases have almost the same functions. Eventually, it will come down to your personal preference. Still, there are some cases which deserve a special mention and are so featured here.

Also, some of you may notice that this post is coming after a long gap. Well, I had my semester exams! Do I need to say anything more?

Like my last two posts, this post will have an overview, a review excerpt, and the price info. So without wasting any more pixels, here are the Best Mid Tower PC Cases - India.

Corsair Carbide SPEC-ALPHA

Price- ~6K

The Corsair Carbide SPEC-ALPHA is the latest addition to the Spec series. It uses an angular design and follows the current design trend of omitting the 5.25″ drive bays. It comes with 3 pre-installed fans - 2 LED front fans and 1 standard rear fan. There is also an integrated three-speed fan controller. Standard stuff like dust filters, tool-free design, cable management is all present. It is available in two color schemes and also houses a large window.

Vortez says- "Gamers with an affection towards unorthodox styling will find the SPEC-ALPHA appealing. This case can house an assortment of hardware, features good cooling performance but does have areas which require attention."

Cooler Master MasterBox 5

Price- ~7K

The MasterBox is the budget oriented version of the Master series. This takes the modular concept of the Mastercase series and brings it to the masses. It is a mid tower case with modular internals that can be suited to the requirement. It supports radiators up to 360mm in size and can easily house bigger cards and coolers. There are cable management cutouts, over an inch of space at the back, PSU cover and much more.

If that is not enough, you can always install add-on accessories and parts for more flexibility.

Antec P280


Antec One P280

Price- ~7.5K

The P280 carries over the lineage of the Performance ONE series from the yesteryears. The P280 is a large case which brings many modern features and solves the problems of the previous cases of the series. It's a large case, almost entering the Full Tower area and sports a mature exterior design. The case features sound dampening Steel/Polycarbonate panels and can even house an XL-ATX motherboard. Support for good cable management, large components, USB 3.0 and 3 fans are highlights of the case.

Corsair Air 540


Corsair AIR 540

Price- ~8.5K

The Air 540 is a departure from the standard case design. There are two side-by-side chambers where you fit your components. The concept here is about the separation of heat zones. The motherboard compartment gets cooling without any obstruction because there are no HDD bays. This results in a case which gives good thermal results. The case comes with all the bells and whistles that you expect from a high-end mid-tower case. And after all, it is a Corsair, so good engineering comes by default. And guess what.. You can keep it both horizontally and vertically.

Thermaltake Suppressor F31


Thermaltake got a lot of hate for its copied designs. But this was actually beneficial to the customers. They got cases that performed well like others but managed to remove their drawbacks. The F31 is one of those cases. It is a copy of the Define series and the closest you will get to a Fractal case in India.

It is a silence-oriented case and features a 250mm wide footprint. The F31 also uses a modular interior design that can be altered to fit different configurations. It can also house a 320mm radiator at the top and features dust filters all around the case. The size of the case and other internal elements makes it a worthy contender.

Thermaltake CORE P5




The Core P5 is a bold product and actually different from its competitors. It is an open frame case that can be placed on a surface or mounted on a wall. It is more of a pedestal rather than a case. There is support for vertical GPU mounting with an included riser cable, 480mm radiators and a hidden cable compartment. If you have hardware worthy of a showcase, then this is your best mass produced option.

NZXT H440


NZXT H440

Price- ~9K

When it was launched, H440 created a big stir among the PC builders. Some were criticizing it for the lack of 5.25" bays and many others appreciated it and even called it a smart move. I think it was good. The case looks stylish in a minimal way. Apart from that, the best feature of the H440 is its cable management. Even a novice builder can assemble a decent looking rig in a matter of minutes. This is possible thanks to its clever PSU shroud, decent space behind the motherboard tray and good internal size. Other interesting features include the inclusion of fan hub, sound dampening panels, and 4 preinstalled fans.

NZXT Noctis 450


NZXT Noctis 450

Price- ~9.5K

I will call the Noctis 450 the cooler and aggressive looking twin brother of the H440. It uses the same chassis of the H440 and inherits all the good features of the H. The panels are stylized with aggressive yet subtle curves and are reminiscent of the original Phantom case. The PSU shroud, the fans, and cable management features are carried over but not the sound dampening panels. Instead, it adds a cool feature of LED under glow, just like a riced up car! This will surely impress those guys who want to pimp up their PCs.

The Ones Who Didn't Make It

Some of you guys might be thinking that I have omitted quite a few cases. Some of them are-

Cooler Master 690-3 (standard case; better alternatives for the price)

NZXT Phantom 410 (cheaper alternatives)

Cooler Master Mastercase 5/PRO (overpriced and good luck finding the mojo of the case in India- the modular parts)

Corsair C70 (Antec Gx900 is cheaper and almost on par with the features offered)

Cooler Master Cosmos SE (overpriced for its features)

and much more...

But why? Because this is the list of the best cases for the price. All the cases which didn't make it were either overpriced or had better alternatives. No doubt these cases sport some really good features, but not well enough for the list.

I can definitely recommend them if it's your personal preference because after all these are all mid tower cases and those too from reputed manufacturers. But these cases will be my second choice.

Wrap Up-

One thing I would like to bring up is the conditions of Indian pricing. All the cases mentioned here are grossly overpriced. I don't know why but I do want to know.! Can anyone tell me? They are in no way connected to the pricing set by their manufacturers. Take the case of MasterCase, its pricing is around the 110$ mark but in India, it sells for over Rs 10000 for the cheaper one. That is almost 160$. It is INSANE!

So this was a small list of the Best Mid Tower PC Cases - India. I tried to include the only the best of the cases. You may or may not agree with the list but I am open for any suggestions. If you want to recommend a better case just leave a message below and I will include it on my list.
